Module Description
This module of stock market trading introduces the application of stock market trading strategies & technical analysis techniques to an advanced level. This module recognises prior learning of previous modules or can be combined with prior industry knowledge of technical analysis and trading strategy techniques. Participants will apply the use of Advanced Trading Strategies, combining both Elliott Wave and Fibonacci principles in a trading exercise.
Competency
Students will be able to assess a risk exposure and identify appropriate advanced trading strategies to invest in the stock market with appropriate money management techniques.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this session participants will be able to summarise and demonstrate the key steps involved in stock market trading to advanced level standards:
- Identify the Impulsive and Corrective Wave Patterns in the Elliott Wave Principle
- Describe the Impulsive wave in detail. List the three major rules and the concept of extending waves.
- Identify the four main categories of corrective patterns.
- Explain how the Fibonacci numbers series is constructed
- Explain how the Key Ratios are derived
- Demonstrate on a price chart the retracement levels
- Demonstrate on a price chart the extension levels
- Apply a day trading strategy using the techniques used in this module
